Today our Big Pals put on a fabulous carnival for their Little Pals. They played games, had snacks, and won prizes. Despite the chilly wind everyone had a really great time together. Thank You Big Pals!

It's so hard to believe that tomorrow is our last day of school! I feel so incredibly blessed to have spent the last two years with these children. They make my heart smile on a daily basis and I am truly going to miss them. They are such a funny, kind, thoughtful, creative group of kids who happen to have equally amazing parents. You have all touched my heart in so many ways and I will be forever grateful to you for sharing your precious children with me. I love each and every one of them!
Our class collected the most Box Tops in the entire school this year! To thank us, the PTG provided us with an ice cream party - complete with sprinkles, m&m's and cherries. YUMMY!
Last Wednesday we went on a much anticipated field trip to Lucky Hill Farm. Jenn McReynolds was a great hostess, tour guide and educator. We learned so much about Jersey cows and farm life. We were even able to meet our adopted cow Maple! Everyone who wanted to got a chance to milk a cow and help feed the calves their bottles. Be sure to ask your Firstie what s/he learned and what they enjoyed the most.
This past Friday was Spring Fling here at Danville School and we had a BLAST! In the morning the Jeh Kulu Dance and Drum Theater came and performed for our entire school. It was an incredible and fun filled time with lots of audience participation (even the teachers danced)! Many people said they want them to come back every year - it was THAT much fun. The Student Council put on a BBQ lunch for the entire school complete with ice cream and popcorn. We spent tons of time playing outside together and then ended our day watching Pie in the Face. This is a fundraiser where people can bid to win the right to shove a pie in a teacher or administrator's face - what's not to love about that?!
