We had a magnificent time at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center on Tuesday! Kinders are already asking when we can go back. Thanks to the Winter Wellness team for finding us such a kid friendly place to enjoy. Also - a special thank you to all of our amazing chaperones for jumping right in and splashing with the Kinders - YOU GUYS ROCK!

Tomorrow (Tuesday) is our field trip to the Upper Valley Aquatic Center! We will leave school promptly at 8:45. Please remember to pack your child a lunch (unless you have already ordered one from the cafeteria). Your Kinder will also need a bathing suit and towel. Other optional items your child may wish to bring: goggles, water shoes, life jacket. Please know that there are life jackets available for use at the Aquatic Center for those who don't bring their own. We're looking forward to having a great day!
Monday was our 100th day of school - can you believe it?! We counted to 100 in many different ways, read 100 words, filled a pretend gumball machine with 100 gumballs by using 10 groups of 10, found 100 Hershey Kisses in our classroom, and enjoyed a special 100th day treat. We are more than halfway through this Kindergarten year!
Last Friday we visited the Fairbanks Museum to learn about simple machines (wheels, ramps, pulleys, levers, wedges, and screws) and how they're used in force and motion. Kinders were then able to make a great connection with our newest Superkid who loves hot rods and taught us all about wheels.
